Death Row, also known as Yannic Michaelis, is a German DJ and producer from NRW active in the hardcore scene since 2016. Rooted in Early Hardcore, Next-Gen Hardcore, Early Terror and Gabber, his sound is built on hard kicks, energetic melodies and raw underground pressure.

His direction became clear after discovering the rising next-gen and energycore sound in the Netherlands, where early hardcore was pushed further, faster and harder. That energy still defines his work today, shaped by high BPMs, clean synths and direct impact.

Under the name Death Row, he built an identity inspired by hardcore roots and his passion for US hip-hop, while also working under the alias Arcanum. Alongside releases and performances at events such as Ouwe Stijl is Botergeil, Ghosttown and Brainscan, he is also active as a coach and mentor within the scene.

As one half of DLC, signed by Cyndium, he continues to expand his catalog with tracks such as “The Funkiest”, “Freak”, “Sanjuro” and “Wild Trip.”
